Built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in 1933, Box Canyon Guard Station sits at 3,620 feet beneath dense Douglas fir along the West Cascades National Scenic Byway. The 16x24-foot cabin sleeps four with two twin beds, a sofa bed, desk, table, wood stove, and nearby outhouse. Outside, the site includes a picnic table, fire ring, and a 45-foot horse corral. There is no electricity or drinking water on site. Located in the Willamette National Forest, the station borders the Three Sisters Wilderness and provides direct access to multi-use trails for hiking, biking, and horseback riding.
