Lodgepole Guard Station is a 1935 Civilian Conservation Corps cabin set on 40 acres of fenced pasture in Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest. The site draws horse owners, hikers, and mountain bikers seeking trail access to the nearby Sky Lakes Wilderness. The one-story cabin sleeps four with a bedroom and futon, featuring a propane stove, fridge, heater, basic kitchen tools, and a bathroom with a flush toilet and shower. The grounds include a historic barn, stable, horse paddocks, a picnic table, and extra space for tent camping. Guests must bring lanterns and towels.

Road difficulty 2 of 5 -- a moderate drive in. Recorded as maintained only for high-clearance vehicles, gravel, pitching to 4%. Overhead clearance here is posted at 15 ft -- the tightest site sets the limit.

Rustler Peak stands 2,271 ft above the site, 2.9 miles southeast. Cabins and shelters rather than pads. The nearest town, Shady Cove, is 23 mi off.
