A 21.5-mile stretch of gravel National Forest road in Jackson County, OR.
Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forests, Siskiyou Mountains Ranger District allows dispersed camping here -- 14-day limit.
All 21.5 miles in are maintained only for high-clearance vehicles. Mostly gravel, with 7.7 miles of dirt. Climbs 6,100 ft over 21.5 miles -- sustained grades near 20%, with pitches to 38%. Stretches run along a shelf with a drop of up to ~150 ft on the downhill side. Little level ground alongside -- few of the stretches measured have a flat spot to pull onto. Winds through 34 switchbacks. Dead-end road -- no mapped turnaround; expect to back out or unhitch.
