Umpqua Lighthouse State Park in OR
OR State Parks allows overnight stays only at the designated sites here.
Perched 100 feet above the Umpqua River at Winchester Bay, this coastal park centers on a 61-foot lighthouse built in 1894 featuring a First Order Fresnel lens. The site includes a Coastal History Museum in a historic U.S. Coast Guard station with exhibits on maritime heritage, lighthouse operations, and a 36-foot motor lifeboat on display. Tours operate year-round with reduced winter hours; the lighthouse was automated in 1966 and restored to its original clockwork mechanism in 1985.
