Tahkenitch Campground sits 8 miles north of Reedsport in the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area, surrounded by coastal shrubs, Douglas fir, and wild berries. The facility has 23 campsites with paved parking aprons, picnic tables, fire rings, drinking water, and flush toilets. Three trails depart directly from the day-use trailhead next to the camp, leading through conifer and shore pine forests to Threemile Lake, Tahkenitch Dunes, and the Pacific Ocean, while 1,674-acre Tahkenitch Lake lies across the road for boating and trout or bass fishing.
