Cedar Creek is a day-use and group camping area perched along its namesake creek at 7,000 feet in Lincoln National Forest, right on the edge of Ruidoso. The facility features three group campsites holding 60 to 100 people and a day-use picnic pavilion for up to 40 guests. Sites are set up with accessible picnic shelters, campfire rings, grills, drinking water, and vault toilets. On-site multi-use trails accommodate hiking and mountain biking, including the 1.3-mile T90 fitness trail and an expert downhill bike trail. Off-site, local shops and galleries in Ruidoso sit just down the road.

The road in has not been measured -- unknown, not bad.

Sierra Blanca Peak stands 4,982 ft above the site, 7.2 miles west. Exposed here -- the nearest through road is 0.1 miles off, a 3-site campground. Night skies measure Bortle 4 -- a rural sky with a glow on the horizon. A group campground -- most of them shaded. North Fork Cedar Creek runs 1.0 mi off. The nearest town, Ruidoso, is 2.4 mi off.

September normals 4775°F, 2.8″ rain. Monthly averages, PRISM 1991–2020.
