Beavertail Hill State Park spreads across 65 acres along the Clark Fork River, 26 miles east of Missoula near Interstate 90 at 3,632 feet elevation. The park offers about 26 camping sites for tents and RVs up to 26 feet, along with tipi rentals for visitors seeking alternative accommodations. Clark Fork River frontage provides access to fishing, rafting, and swimming. The park features picnic areas, an interpretive walking trail, and an amphitheater that hosts interpretive programs on summer Friday evenings. Established in 1968, it attracts nearly 40,000 visitors annually.
