An 11.5-mile stretch of dirt National Forest road in Mineral County, MT. The road serves Sunrise Mountain. The road is open seasonally, June 16 to October 14.

All 11.5 miles in are maintained only for high-clearance vehicles. Dirt the whole way in (11.5 miles). Climbs 3,500 ft over 11.5 miles -- sustained grades near 14%, with pitches to 58%. Stretches run along a shelf with a drop of up to ~150 ft on the downhill side. Little level ground alongside -- few of the stretches measured have a flat spot to pull onto. Winds through 19 switchbacks.

Secluded here -- the nearest through road is 2.4 miles off. Sunrise Mountain stands 1,300 ft above the site, 1.6 miles northwest. The nearest town, Frenchtown, is 29 mi off.
