Fox Creek Cabin is a small former ranger station tucked in a forest clearing at 6,700 feet along South Cottonwood Creek in the Gallatin Mountain Range. Accessible only by trail, the rustic structure sleeps two on bunk beds with mattresses. Interior furnishings include a small wood-burning stove for heat and cooking, a dining table, cookware, dishes, and cleaning gear. An outhouse vault toilet stands outside. Nearby paths like the South Cottonwood and History Rock trails link up to Mount Blackmore. Guests must bring drinking water, lighting, bedding, and garbage bags.
The road in has not been measured -- unknown, not bad.
