Bloody Dick Cabin is a single-room wood-frame shelter sitting at 7,100 feet along Bloody Dick Creek, one mile south of Reservoir Lake. The cabin sleeps four people on two bunk beds and includes a wood-burning stove, small propane stovetop and oven, table, chairs, cookware, and a vault toilet outside. Faucet water is piped into a sink from June through September. Nearby Reservoir Lake features an 11-acre surface with a primitive boat launch for non-motorized craft. Local trailheads grant access to the Nez Perce and Continental Divide national historic trails.

The road in has not been measured -- unknown, not bad.

Lake Creek runs 0.2 mi off. Selway Mountain stands 1,839 ft above the site, 2.0 miles north. Cabins and shelters rather than pads -- most of them shaded. The nearest town, Salmon, is 22 mi off.

September normals 3565°F, 1.5″ rain. Monthly averages, PRISM 1991–2020.
