Cross Lake Day Use sits among tall pines on the eastern bank of Cross Lake along the 13,660-acre Whitefish Chain of Lakes. Located at the dam, the facility features two reservable group picnic shelters, individual picnic sites, a swimming beach, two accessible fishing piers, and a playground. Canoes can be launched into the Pine River downstream of the dam. Restrooms and parking for up to 50 vehicles are on site, with the town of Crosslake within walking distance.

The road in has not been measured -- unknown, not bad. Sits on broad, near-level ground.

A body of water lies 0.1 mi off. Night skies measure Bortle 5 -- a rural sky with a glow on the horizon. Open country -- nothing named rises within 30 miles of here. The nearest town, Crosslake, is 0.7 mi off.

September normals 4769°F, 2.9″ rain. Monthly averages, PRISM 1991–2020.
