Upper Payette Lake Campground sits at the foot of the Salmon River Mountains among Engelmann spruce and lodgepole pines at an elevation of 5,900 feet. Located 16 miles from McCall, Idaho, the campground features accessible single, double, and group sites, vault toilets, drinking water, paved pathways, and an on-site boat ramp. Upper Payette Lake is a designated no-wake lake built for canoeing, kayaking, and fishing. The paved one-mile Shoreline Trail begins inside the facility, while additional hiking and biking trails depart from just across the main entrance road.
