Stone Cellar Guard Station is a historic log cabin set at 9,500 feet in an expansive alpine meadow along Saguache Creek, right outside the La Garita Wilderness. The cabin sleeps up to 12 people on four bunk beds (twin tops, fold-out full bottoms) and includes a propane stove, refrigerator, heater, living furniture, cookware, an outdoor picnic table, fire pit, vault toilet, and hand-pump water. It sits next to a working summer cow camp and half a mile from Stone Cellar Campground, with access to Continental Divide hiking trails and the historic mining town of Bonanza.
