Southside Campground - Lake Isabel in CO -- Campground & RV Camping in Colorado

Southside Campground sits at 8,600 feet in the Wet Mountains, shaded by aspen and ponderosa pine along the rocky shores of 40-acre Lake Isabel. Built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the late 1930s, the facility features paved roads and pull-through sites designed specifically for RVs under 30 feet without large slide-outs, though tent camping is permitted. There are no hookups. Amenities include picnic tables, campfire grills, drinking water, and vault toilets. Visitors can fish for stocked trout in Lake Isabel or St. Charles Creek, paddle non-motorized boats, and explore the nearby Cisneros and Snow Slide trails.
