Located on the North Yuba River at 2,000 feet elevation, Bullards Bar Reservoir offers 4,760 surface acres of water surrounded by steep, shaded conifer and hardwood forests. Recreation around the reservoir includes fishing, boating, water skiing, hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding. Facilities across the area feature five campgrounds, two picnic areas, a day-use area, a marina, and three boat launches (Cottage Creek, Dark Day, and Moran Road). Non-motorized trails, including the 14-mile Bullards Bar Trail, branch out nearby.
