Dimond O Campground sits among cedar and ponderosa pines along the Middle Fork Tuolumne River, positioned near Yosemite's Big Oak Flat entrance and Hetch Hetchy. The facility offers single and double-family campsites with paved spurs, picnic tables, and campfire rings. Several sites overlook the river, where visitors wade and fly fish for rainbow trout. Amenities include drinking water, accessible vault toilets, and firewood available for purchase. Hikers have nearby access to the Carlon Falls Trail and extensive trail networks within neighboring Yosemite National Park.
The road in has not been measured -- unknown, not bad. Flat ground is scarce -- under a tenth of the terrain within a few hundred yards is level.
