Jones Valley Inlet West is an open shoreline day-use and dispersed camping area situated on the Pit River Arm of Shasta Lake. The area has no designated campsites, but offers seasonal portable toilets and trash collection services. Located one mile from the public boat ramp at Jones Valley, the site allows informal shoreline boat mooring when water depths permit, offering quick access to lake fishing and water sports.

Road difficulty 2 of 5 -- a moderate drive in. Recorded as maintained for passenger-car comfort, dirt, pitching to 22%, 40% of it on a shelf. Flat ground is scarce -- under a tenth of the terrain within a few hundred yards is level.
