Each site features a fire ring, picnic table, and nearby water spigots and toilets; firewood available from the host. The park spans seven miles of rugged coastline with dramatic cliffs, secluded sandy beaches, coastal plains, streams and canyons—Valencia Peak rises to 1,347 feet inland. Trails access tide pools, beaches, and viewpoints; Los Osos lies 4 miles north with supplies, Morro Bay 10 miles north. Spring brings golden wildflowers that inspired the park's name.
