These three hike-in tent sites on Angel Island's eastern shore offer protection from wind and greater privacy than the island's ridge or sunrise areas. They face east across the bay toward the East Bay hills and Oakland. Located within a forested area of the island, they provide shade and shelter. Each site includes a picnic table, tent platform, and bear-proof food locker. Facilities are shared island-wide: pit toilets and water access. Access requires a ferry to Angel Island (departing from Tiburon, San Francisco, or Vallejo) and a backpack carry of 1–2 miles from the ferry landing.
