Black Oak Campground sits at an elevation of 4,400 feet in the Sierra Nevada foothills of the Eldorado National Forest. This group facility lies within walking distance of Stumpy Meadows Lake, a quiet body of water with a 5-mph speed limit where campers fish for stocked rainbow trout, kayak, and swim. The layout includes one group RV site for up to 75 people and three group tent sites for 25 to 50 campers. On-site amenities include picnic tables, serving tables, campfire circles, grills, vault toilets, and a RV dump station. The El Dorado County Scenic Byway runs through the surrounding area.
