Glory Hole Recreation Area is set along the 100-mile shoreline of New Melones Lake among oak woodlands and ponderosa pines. On-site trails cater to hiking and mountain biking, with access to nearby equestrian paths. The surrounding landscape features rolling hills and marble cliffs, situated between the historic gold rush towns of Sonora and Angels Camp.
