Molino Campground sits at 4,500 feet elevation in a high desert oak scrub ecosystem on the slopes of the Santa Catalina Mountains. Located along Molino Creek, the site features cottonwoods, live oaks, and mesquites. Facilities include individual sites and a reservable group area with a paved walkway, picnic shelter, tables, grills, food lockers, vault toilets, and tent pads. RVs and trailers are allowed, but no drinking water is provided. The Arizona Trail passes through the grounds, and the Molino Trail leads into the Pusch Ridge Wilderness for hiking and horseback riding.

Road difficulty 1 of 5 -- an easy drive in. Recorded as maintained for passenger cars, paved, pitching to 10%. Flat ground is scarce -- under a tenth of the terrain within a few hundred yards is level.

Airmen Peak stands 1,712 ft above the site, 1.2 miles northeast. Exposed here -- the nearest through road is 0.1 miles off, a single-site campground. A group campground. Mercer Spring lies 0.4 mi off. Night skies measure Bortle 3 -- a dark rural sky. The nearest town, Tanque Verde, is 5.4 mi off.

September normals 6288°F, 1.8″ rain. Monthly averages, PRISM 1991–2020.
