Designated sites only

National Park Service allows overnight stays only at the designated sites here.

North Rim Campground sits at an elevation of 8,200 feet in a ponderosa pine and aspen forest along the edge of Grand Canyon National Park. The facility includes standard RV/tent sites, tent-only loops, and group sites, each with a picnic table and grill. Restrooms with flush toilets and drinking spigots are distributed throughout. Due to tight turns and tree obstacles, high-profile RVs cannot be accommodated. The Bridle Path and Transept Trail lead one mile south to the visitor center and lodge.

The road in has not been measured -- unknown, not bad.

Crowded here -- the nearest through road is 0.1 miles off, a 125-site campground. 36 hike-in sites -- most of them shaded. Cliff Dweller Spring lies 0.4 mi off. The nearest town, Grand Canyon Village, is 13 mi off.

September normals 4170°F, 1.6″ rain. Monthly averages, PRISM 1991–2020.
