Built in 1933 by the Civilian Conservation Corps, this historic two-room river-cobble cabin sits at an elevation of 5,000 feet near the entrance of Cave Creek Canyon. Located a mile west of Portal, Arizona, the bunkhouse sleeps up to four people and features electricity, heating, indoor plumbing with a shower, and a fully equipped kitchen. Outside, guests have access to a propane grill and picnic table. Visitors draw here for world-class birding, rock climbing, and hiking among the canyon's towering cliffs, with the Chiricahua National Monument a short drive away.
