Rocky Branch Day Use Park sits along the shoreline of Holt Lake on the Black Warrior-Tombigbee Waterway, framed by a mixed pine and hardwood forest northeast of Tuscaloosa. The park offers 88 picnic sites equipped with grills, two group shelters, a maintained swim beach, a hiking trail along the water, and flush restrooms. An adjacent boat ramp provides year-round access to the lake for boating, fishing, and water sports.

The road in has not been measured -- unknown, not bad. Flat ground is scarce -- under a tenth of the terrain within a few hundred yards is level.

Holt Lake runs 0.2 mi off. Private here -- the nearest through road is 0.9 miles off. Night skies measure Bortle 4 -- a rural sky with a glow on the horizon. The nearest town, Holt, is 5.0 mi off.

September normals 6487°F, 3.6″ rain. Monthly averages, PRISM 1991–2020.
