A well-kept, free primitive campground featuring five established sites with covered picnic tables and fire rings, as well as vault toilets. Plenty of open space is available for larger setups.
McBride Canyon & Mullinaw Creek Camping Area
A scenic and remote National Park Service recreation area south of Lake Meredith, offering free dry camping in both developed loops and dispersed canyon spots. Large cottonwood trees provide shade, and the area features equestrian corrals along with extensive trail networks. Note that the dirt access roads become extremely slick and impassable when wet.
Middle Plum Creek Campground
A basic, quiet primitive campground nested between the upper and lower creek sites. Offers vault toilets and shaded sites in a natural canyon environment.
