Lake McClellan Clifftop Dispersed
Scenic dispersed camping area situated on a high bluff overlooking the lake basin. Reached via a short dirt spur, the clifftop offers wide-open sunset views and standard boondocking. The final stretch of the track is rough, deeply rutted, and highly uneven with severe side-slope angles, making high-clearance or 4WD necessary to reach the very edge of the cliff. Flatter, more accessible pull-offs can be found closer to the start of the spur. Be cautious of wildlife and muddy conditions after rain.
