Beach Point Campground
A primitive walk-in camping area situated adjacent to the Beach Point boat ramp. Campers park in the paved boat ramp lot and carry gear to one of the primitive tent-only sites on the water.
Cypress Point Day Use Area
Cypress Point is a designated day-use area located on the shores of the Lower Lake at Sardis Dam. It features picnic sites, a playground, and a swim beach, but overnight camping is not permitted.
Engineer Point Recreation Area
A scenic day use and recreation area on the shores of Sardis Lake. While primarily designated for picnicking and boat launching, the large paved parking lots and adjacent picnic loops have historically accommodated overnight parking. Please note that USACE regulations technically restrict camping to designated campgrounds, making overnight stays here subject to ranger discretion.
John W. Kyle State Park
A quiet state park located below the dam of Sardis Lake. Offers developed sites with full hookups under heavy tree shade, as well as cabins and villas. It is highly popular during regional university event weekends.
Long Branch Campground
A quiet, primitive campground located on the south side of Enid Lake. It features 14 campsites without hookups, charcoal grills, picnic tables, lantern holders, and fire rings, with access to a comfort station, playground, beach, and boat ramp.
Oak Grove Campground
A large, well-developed lakeside campground on the shores of Sardis Lake. It features spacious sites with water, sewer, and 50-amp electric hookups, providing convenient access to water sports, boating, and a playground.
Outlet Channel Recreation Area (Enid Lake)
A popular US Army Corps of Engineers recreation facility located below the Enid Lake dam. It provides a dedicated fishing pier, fish cleaning stations, flush toilets, and individual picnic areas.
Pat's Bluff Campground
Pat's Bluff is a developed campground situated on the southern shoreline of Sardis Lake. Surrounded by mature hardwood and pine forests, this recreation area features 15 campsites with water and electric hookups, a boat ramp, and a day-use pavilion.
Persimmon Hill Campground
A scenic developed park along Enid Lake, offering level campsites with full hookups, hot showers, and flush toilets. This well-maintained area features multiple playgrounds, hiking trails, and boat ramps, with highly accessible sites that fill up quickly in the summer.
