Since the access road is closed to public vehicle traffic, campers must hike or bike in between 1.3 and 2.5 miles from designated trailheads, ensuring a quiet wilderness experience. Composting toilets and shared bear-proof food lockers are provided, but all water must be packed in or treated from nearby natural streams.
