Setting
Situated along Tensleep Creek in a forest of lodgepole pine, this Bighorn National Forest campground offers several single-family sites along the Cloud Peak Skyway. Each campsite is furnished with a picnic table and a campfire ring with a grill, with vault toilets, trash collection, and hand-pump drinking water provided on-site. Non-motorized boating and trout fishing take place 14 miles away at West Tensleep Lake, while Meadowlark Lake sits 11 miles west for no-wake boating. Trailheads leading into the Cloud Peak Wilderness and the historic CCC High Park Lookout are nearby.
Getting there: From Ten Sleep, WY, drive 7.5 miles on Hwy 16 to FSR 018 (WY Hwy 435). Bear right and travel nearly 1 more mile to the campground.
