Setting
Lewis Lake Campground sits at an elevation of 7,800 feet, roughly 12 miles from Yellowstone National Park's South Entrance and a short walk from the southeast shore of Lewis Lake. The facility offers 84 campsites, vault toilets, drinking water spigots, trash collection, food storage lockers, and a boat launch. Motorized boats, canoes, and kayaks are permitted on the lake with a park boat permit and aquatic invasive species inspection. Vehicle lengths are limited to a maximum of 25 feet.
Getting there: Lewis Lake Campground is twelve miles (19.3 km) north of the South Entrance. It is located on the road between South entrance and West Thumb.
