Setting
Pine Island Group Area sits along the South Fork Tongue River at an elevation of 8,400 feet near Burgess Junction in the Bighorn Mountains. Forested with lodgepole pine, Engelmann spruce, and Douglas fir, this facility features a single group site accommodating up to 150 people for overnight camping or day use. Amenities include a three-sided picnic shelter with 30-amp electric outlets, picnic tables, a campfire circle, grill, vault toilets, drinking water, and trash collection. Non-motorized craft, a fishing dock, and trout fishing are available nearby at Sibley Lake.
Getting there: Located 27 miles west of Dayton, Wyoming, on U.S. Highway 14.
