Sweetwater Guard Station Campground sits at the base of the Wind River Mountains along the Sweetwater River, opposite the Continental Divide National Scenic Trail. The site has 11 campsites (8 pull-in and 3 walk-in) equipped with picnic tables and fire rings. Facilities include a pit toilet and bear-resistant trash containers, but there are no hookups or potable water. Access is via an improved dirt road 73 miles from Rock Springs and 69 miles from Lander, with winter access limited to snowmobiles.
