Deep canyon carved through Madison Limestone in the Wind River Range, six miles southwest of Lander, with 600 acres of steep cliff walls and glacial moraines. The Middle Fork Popo Agie River dramatically disappears underground into the Sinks cavern and reenmerges at the Rise quarter-mile away—a hydrological wonder revealed by dye-testing to take over two hours underground. Camping, picnicking, fishing, rock climbing, visitor center, and trail access to nearby lakes.
