Spruce Mountain Fire Lookout Tower is a 55-foot structure at 10,003 feet elevation in Medicine Bow National Forest. Originally built by the CCC in 1938 and rebuilt in the 1960s, the top cabin sleeps two people on single beds with mattresses. The interior includes a table, chairs, propane heater, propane stove/oven, and propane lights, with a gear hoist to bring supplies up. Outside, the rocky ground features a pit toilet and a campfire ring. There is no water or electricity on site. Rob Roy Reservoir is six miles away for boating and fishing.
