Friend Park Campground sits at 7,572 feet at the base of Laramie Peak, surrounded by ponderosa pines, aspens, firs, and rock formations. It features 11 shaded, lightly wooded sites—including walk-in options—equipped with picnic tables, fire rings, pedestal grills, vault toilets, trash collection, and seasonal drinking water. The Laramie Peak Connector Trail leads right from camp to the Laramie Peak and Friend Park trails for hiking, biking, and OHV riding. Anglers can fish nearby in Friend Creek and beaver ponds, while the historic 10,200-foot Laramie Peak towers over the landscape.
