Setting
Located in the Grandview area of New River Gorge National Park, this large covered picnic shelter accommodates up to 200 people. Facilities include three charcoal grills, six electrical outlets, and access to nearby flush restrooms and drinking fountains. Situated near the park's main playground and ball fields, the site provides a base for exploring five area hiking trails and dramatic overlooks set 1,400 feet above the New River.
Getting there: To reach Grandview from Beckley follow I-64 East five miles to Exit 129 B. From Lewisburg follow I-64 West forty miles to Exit 129. From either exit, turn right and follow Route 9 North six miles to Grandview.
