Designated sites only

U.S. Forest Service allows overnight stays only at the designated sites here.

Picnic Point Campground is a rustic, single group facility for tent camping only, accommodating up to 35 people under pine trees along the western shore of the 411-acre Mondeaux Flowage. The site features multiple picnic tables, campfire rings with grills, and vault toilets. There is no drinking water on site—campers must fetch water at Glacial Springs or Westpoint Campground—and visitors must pack out all trash. Boats can be anchored directly offshore along the campsite edge, and a public boat ramp and the Ice Age National Scenic Trail are nearby.

Road difficulty 1 of 5 -- an easy drive in. Recorded as maintained for passenger cars, paved, pitching to 4%.

The Mondeaux Flowage 24 shoreline is 0.1 mi off. Private here -- the nearest through road is 1.9 miles off, a single-site campground. A group campground -- one sits on the water, most of them shaded. The nearest town, Medford, is 13 mi off.

September normals 4669°F, 3.8″ rain. Monthly averages, PRISM 1991–2020.
