Setting
Sailor Lake Campground sits at 1,460 feet elevation along the northwestern shore of 170-acre Sailor Lake, shaded by mixed hardwoods. Its two loops contain roughly two dozen tent and RV sites with grass or gravel parking spurs, tables, and campfire rings. Vault toilets and drinking water are provided, but there are no hookups. Off-road vehicle riders use the site for direct access to the 70-mile Flambeau Trail System. A public boat ramp and covered picnic shelter are located one mile south at the Sailor Lake Picnic Area.
Getting there: From Fifield, follow State Highway 70 east for about 7 miles and turn right (south) on Forest Road 139 and continue for 3 miles.
