Morgan Lake Campground sits in a dense forest at 1,500 feet, surrounding the 45-acre Morgan Lake. Along with individual sites, the park features a dedicated group site for up to 25 people with space for four vehicles and one RV. Group facilities include gravel parking, multiple tables, grills, and a campfire circle, alongside shared accessible pit toilets, drinking water, and trash collection. The property provides a sandy swim beach, picnic areas, and a boat ramp suitable for non-motorized or electric-motor watercraft. Largemouth bass fishing is popular on the lake.
Getting there: From the intersection of Highway 8 and Highway 139, about 7 miles north of Laona, drive north on Highway 139 for 11 miles to Forest Road 2159. Turn right (east) and drive about 8 miles to the campground. This site is located on the Chequmegon-Nicolet National Forest in Fence Township, Florence County, Wisconsin. This site is often confused with Morgan County Park which is managed by Marinette County and is located in Niagra, Wiconsin.
