Upper Goodell Group Campground sits along Goodell Creek in North Cascades National Park at 500 feet elevation, tucked into an old-growth forest of western redcedar, Douglas-fir, and western hemlock. It consists of a single group site that fits 12 to 20 people, up to a maximum of 30. Facilities include a picnic shelter and a pit toilet, but no drinking water is provided. The glacial creek empties into the nearby Skagit River, where anglers fish for trout, salmon, and steelhead. While there is no swimming or boating on site, hiking trails, a park visitor center, and Newhalem are a short drive away.

Getting there: Upper Goodell Group Campground is located at mile marker 119 on State Route 20. From Burlington, WA, drive 60 miles east on State Route 20. From Twisp, WA, drive 82 miles west on State Route 20.
