Campground details
Setting
Silver Fir Campground sits along the North Fork Nooksack River in the old-growth forest of Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest. The property offers tent and RV campsites, as well as a group picnic shelter that accommodates up to 25 people. On-site facilities include picnic tables, campfire rings with grills, vault toilets, and drinking water. Campers use the site for river access, summer hiking, and winter non-motorized snow sports, with trailheads for the Mt. Baker Wilderness and Hannegan Pass located less than a mile away.
Getting there: From Seattle, Washington, go north on I-5 to Bellingham. Take exit 255 onto Sunset Drive/Mt. Baker Highway SR 542. Continue on SR 542 past the town of Glacier near mile 33 and continue approximately 12.5 miles to the campground. The campground is on the right (west) side of the highway after crossing the bridge over the North Fork Nooksack River.
