Newhalem Creek Campground sits in a dense canopy of western redcedar, hemlock, and Douglas-fir along the Skagit River in North Cascades National Park. The facility features 107 individual sites across loops A, B, and C, two group sites, four drive-in picnic areas, paved roads, flush toilets, drinking water, and an RV dump station. Most sites include tent pads, picnic tables, fire rings, and food storage boxes. Trails lead directly from the campground to salmon-viewing spots along the river, the North Cascades Visitor Center half a mile away, and the historic town of Newhalem.

Getting there: Newhalem Creek Campground is located at milepost 120 on State Route 20. From Burlington, WA, drive 60 miles (97 km) east on State Route 20. From Twisp, WA, drive 82 miles (132 km) west on State Route 20.
