Goodell Creek Campground sits under a dense forest canopy of western redcedar, hemlock, and Douglas-fir along the Skagit River near Newhalem. The facility provides 19 individual campsites equipped with bear boxes, picnic tables, and fire rings, with shared drinking water and vault toilets available. Boaters can use an on-site raft launch to get onto the river, and a connecting trail links to Newhalem's broader hiking system. Getting there: Goodell Creek Campground is located at milepost 119 on State Route 20. From Burlington, WA, drive 60 miles (97 km) east on State Route 20. The west entrance to the park is at milepost 112. From Twisp, WA, drive 82 miles (132 km) west on State Route 20.
