Setting
Gillette Campground is set in a forest of lodgepole pine and tamarack, situated a quarter-mile from the shores of Lake Gillette. The facility consists of 29 single campsites laid out along a loop, supported by vault toilets, drinking water, and bear-proof garbage containers. Visitors come for swimming, boating, and fishing in nearby Gillette Lake, or to drive OHVs in and out of the park. Onsite features include a covered area showcasing a large tree trunk and direct foot access to the Rufus and Springboard Trails. Hikers can also take a walk down to the lake shore right from camp.
Getting there: From Colville, WA: Head east on Hwy. 20 for approximately 20 miles to the Colville National Forest campground sign. Turn right onto Pend Oreille Lake Rd. and go 1.2 miles to campground entrance.
