Setting
Tulalip Group Campground is a single private site located in a flat forest of cedar, fir, and hemlock along Mountain Loop Road in Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest. The camp includes picnic tables, campfire rings with grills, and vault toilets, but has no drinking water on site. A short trail leads directly from the campground to the Stillaguamish River, which supports seasonal salmon and trout fishing. Nearby points of interest include Old Mill Pond, historic fire lookouts, access points for the Pacific Crest Trail, and both North Cascades and Mt. Rainier National Parks.
Getting there: From Seattle, Washington, go north on I-5 to Everett. Take Exit 194 onto Hwy 2. At Hwy 204, go north to Lake Steven. Turn north on Hwy 9. Turn east on Hwy 92 to Granite Falls on Hwy 7 Scenic Byway.
