Setting
Troublesome Creek Campground sits in a mixed conifer forest along the North Fork Skykomish River and Troublesome Creek in the Northern Cascade Range. The campground features standard and tent-only sites equipped with picnic tables and vault toilets, with several sites resting near the water's edge. Troublesome Creek flows through the site with a footbridge crossing under pine and fir trees, while the river provides fishing for steelhead and salmon. Hikers can head 10 miles to Skykomish to access the Beckler Peak Trail, which climbs through alder and alpine forest to broad ridge views.
Getting there: From Everett travel east on US-2. Pass through Monroe and continue another 21 miles then turn north (left) on Index – Galena Road. Continue for 11 Miles, arriving at Troublesome Creek Campground on the right.
