Setting
Sulphur Creek Campground is a primitive facility set among old-growth Douglas firs along the banks of Sulphur Creek and the Suiattle River, a designated Wild and Scenic River. Located in the Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest, it features 20 individual campsites outfitted with picnic tables and fire rings. There is a pit toilet on-site, but no drinking water is provided. Campers can pick up supplies in the nearby town of Darrington. The campground serves as a launching point for hikers, with the Suiattle Trail starting within a few miles.
Getting there: From Darrington travel north on State Route 530 approximately seven miles to the Suiattle River Road/Forest Road 26. Drive this road for approximately 22 miles to the campground, which located on the right (south) side of the road.
