Setting
Buck Creek Campground sits along Buck Creek in the Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest, surrounded by designated wilderness areas and old-growth trees. It features 14 standard, rustic sites within walking distance of the creek, allowing campers to hear the rushing water. Every campsite is equipped with a picnic table, and vault toilets are located on-site. The area serves as a quiet base camp for fishing and accessing the extensive trail network of the Northern Cascade Range.
Getting there: From Darrington, head north on WA-530 for 7.5 miles. Cross the Sauk River Bridge, then immediately turn right on Suiattle River Road (FS-26). Proceed 15 miles east (10 miles paved followed by 5 miles of gravel road) to Buck Creek Campground on the left.
