Setting
Paradise Creek Campground is set at the confluence of Paradise Creek and the Wind River, shaded by old-growth cedar, fir, alder, and maple trees. The facility features 42 paved back-in sites with 20 to 40-foot spurs, including riverfront premium sites. Amenities consist of picnic tables, fire rings, vault toilets, and hand-pumped drinking water. The adjacent Wind River offers seasonal salmon and steelhead fishing, while Paradise Creek permits wading. Trailhead access for the Lava Butte Trail 200 is available directly on site, with Mt. Adams and Mount St. Helens in the region.
Getting there: Take Highway 14 to Carson. From Carson, travel about 19 miles northwest on Wind River Highway. The campground is between mile post 20 and 21.
